My cardiologist suggests a surgery for my AFib, have many had this?h

Hello loou, I see you have been a member of this forum since 2017 and during that period, you have had at least 2 ablations. Can you tell us exactly what it is your Cardiologist is suggesting.

Yes, I’ve had 2 ablations, and was scheduled for a third next week.. My cardiologist called me at home , stating that he and my EP were discussing my case. EP thought it would be a good idea to refer me to surgeon who specializes in AFib. They both agree a 3rd ablation wouldn’t be effective... They are scheduling appt with the surgeon... It sounds like it must be a maze procedure, and he would also clip the left appendage...

Sounds like a mini maze. I had one three and a half years ago. No AF since. Check on my past posts. I described it in great detail at the time.

Thanks! It’s good to know you have had good results from the mini maze.... I am meeting with cardiac surgeon next week, I’ll let you know what the plan is. Thanks again.
