I hurt my knee and now it is swollen. Can I take Ibuprofen for inflammation? I did take Tylenol for pain, but I don’t think it helps swelling. I would appreciate your advice .

NO! All NSAIDs are linked to AF as a cause so best avoided although topical creams or gels used sparingly may be OK.

It's not recommended for the vast majority.

Ice it using crushed ice or frozen peas. 20 minutes on, 40 minutes off. Wrap the ice/peas in a towel or cloth to prevent burning. Make sure to gently flex it to avoid it becoming stiff.

Take the Tylenol for the pain and use ice for the swelling. No ibuprofen for those with AF.
