heart ablation and cough
The following factsheet will help explain what might be causing your cough.
yes,I had a cough for a couple of weeks and indigestion. My cardiologist said it was normal and to do with disturbance to the vagus nerve. It went away naturally after about 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
I have read that almost half of ablations for fibrillation cause some slight and usually temporary damage to the food pipe or oesophagus, which presses against the heart. This, itself tightly pressing against the trachea (wind pipe), might well cause sufficient irritation to cause a cough.

Yes and it did not go completely like the Cardiologist said, years later and I still have a bit of a cough.
Yes, I had a cough for weeks, especially when I tried to take a deep breath. It should get better with time.
