I had my second ablation nearly 6 weeks ago and have had a dry irritating cough ever since. I spoke to the arrhythmia nurse again today as it is bothering me now as no better and I have a feeling of tightening and pain sometimes. My consultant says it can happen but is rare. It is the inflammation in the pulmonary veins causing the cough and it should go. I didn't have anything down my throat during the procedure so it isn't that. Has anyone else had this? On the positive side, no AF, just some ectopic s which are getting less

Stubborn cough following RF Ablation
Yes I was warned about stenosis of the pulmonary veins when I had my ablations. It can mimic pneumonia apparently. I did have rather a wheezy chest but it didn't start until nearly a month after the procedure and lasted about six weeks.
could be caused by a blood pressure drug if you're taking one check with your doctor
Lisinopril is noted for causing a cough. So common it's sometimes referred to as a lisinopril cough. I had this as a side effect of lisinopril 4-5 years ago. So annoying I now lisr lisinopril as an allergy.
Hi. I had the same. A cough which lasted for almost 4 months associated with an annoying dry tongue. It seemed to do not stop but then all if a sudden it started to slow down and finally disappeared.
Yes. Cryoablation. So i related it to the cold (cryo) but I visited pneumologist and throat/nose specialist but neither of them could help and they were not able to detect anything. It has been terrible and was almost hindering me to talk. As i said it just slowly slowly wrnt away but first improvements started 2.5 months after ablation. U can find my cough post on this forum of few months ago.
Also had bad cough right after my first RF ablation for over two months. Nothing really helped other than the passage of time when it eventually went away.
Thank you. It seems worse when speaking and stops at night
Just a thought, do you have reflux?it can cause a cough.
No, I don't. Thanks for replying
