I am thinking of getting one of these to replace the older single lead version. Does anyone know what the advantages of this device are compared with the single lead version? Obviously it has 6 leads, but is it genuinely more useful diagnostically?

Kardiamobile 6L
My cardiologist said "...sometimes the 6 lead can provide some extra useful information" and my interpretation was that he was not too bothered either way. I will be sending him the 6 lead when I need to just in case.
Ok thanks for this info.
Hi. I bought a six lead and when I told my cardiologist he said just use the one lead option.
Thanks
My EP questioned the accuracy of the 1 lead AF interpretation but was much happier with 6 lead tracings
The six lead gives a much more accurate view of electrical flow across the heart, but this may not be particularly useful. If you just have AF/flutter, the single lead tells you all you need to know. If you have other complications, you will need further investigation anyway. Also, I think the extra sensitivity of the 6L means that standard readings are slightly harder to take.
I love gadgets and data, but decided the 6 lead wasn't really going to be any use to me.
There is an interesting variety of opinions on this. I’m now even more undecided!
You can always do single lead readings with the 6 lead version. So you could actually do 2 sets of readings, single lead and 6 lead and send both to your cardio.
