Kardiamobile single lead basic understanding of ECG/EKG

I recently purchased a Kardiamobile single lead which I have found useful but wondered what the ECG reading was actually telling me? I found this 3 min 44 sec video by the brilliant Dr Sanjay Gupta which although very basic at least gives you a couple of things to look for especially if (like me) you are new to the world of ECG/EKG s. Thanks Snookersteve. Very interesting. I am completely new to this and was considering getting a Kardia device but havent a clue about how to interpret. I have P-AF so my irregular intervals will be intermittent.

The Kardia app which you use in conjunction with the device has a “Library” section which discusses and illusatrates the various different types of trace that you might encounter. So it’s possible to acquire a knowledge of at least the basics.

Thanks for that, the Library section sounds useful. I've had a look around the app but can't see any mention of a Library section. In fact the app seems pretty basic with just Home, History and Profile sections and lots of adverts trying to get you to subscribe (of course)?

I think that is now only available if you pay approximately £10 a month for Kardia Care. There is lots of information available free on the internet

I think they may have removed it from the app. If you google Kardia Library the top two returns should bring it up.

Talked to cardiologist from Barts . Supports Kardia but it’s not that precise to interpret a ECG effectively. Even the 6 lead I’ve found has false positives. Indeed a 12 lead Ecg he tells on occasions is not highly precise and needs further investigation with ECHO

Very interesting; I've seen several videos with these results tattoed. I find it very inspirational. There are plenty of other medical analyzes and results that we could convert into music or art. But honestly, I believe that art is all around us, and I find it very exciting to look for it!
