KardiaMobile 1L

I saw past posts extolling the KardiaMobile 1 lead for spotting Afib episodes.

Does anyone know if it would work with a Huwaei Honor Android 9.0.0 ?

All the best to us all.

Go to the AliveCor home page and check their list of devices that it works with. There was a post recently about the very latest phones having some difficulty but Kardia have excellent customer support and Dr Dave, inventor occasionally makes helpful comments.

Thanks CDreamer. The Huwaei Android 9.0.0 device was not listed but other Android 9.0.0 phones are acceptable, so I was wondering if the Android version is what matters ?

The Alivecor site shows the devices they have tested for compatibility but it does work with others not listed. It works on my Huawei tablet computer, it was not listed.

CDreamer. Thanks again for all your replies. I'm in Greece so I emailed AliveCor to find out if it will run on any Android 9.0.0 device. Will update once they respond.

Samazeuilh. Thanks for that. Regrettably, my device is not on the list...Added to that, I am in Greece and the AliveCor App will not download to Greece from the Google Playstore (country not supported). Thanks to everyone on the forum who replied. Much appreciated.

Your best bet might be to ask a friend or relative in a supported country to buy a second hand iphone (you could buy, say, an old iphone SE for next to nothing), download the software, and post it to you.

I was thinking along similar lines, when I'm next in the UK to change the country on my phone (Playstore goes by the IP address) and install it then.Love you help. Thanks again.

I'm pretty sure that it's not at all to do with the Android version (except that the app can take some time to catch up with the latest version). My belief is that it depends on whether the phone is designed around a 'noise cancelling microphone'. The Kardia single lead version uses high frequency sound going through the microphone to communicate with the phone, while the newer six lead version uses Bluetooth.

They have a list of compatible phones on the website store.alivecor.com/products... --- I learned on that website that they cannot guarantee accuracy if you have a pacemaker. Has anybody with a pacemaker tried to use it?? What were the results?
