Guess who forgot to take .... ALL .... his night time meds last night , yep, all the good stuff at that, Bisoprolol, Warfarin included. Went to take my morning meds this morning and to my horror saw the Saturday boxette still in its cradle
Not bovvered, done it before - most likely will do it again, just goes to show that distractions are easy to come by. Left shoulder OA pain went well over the top yesterday and I was well into the CoCodomol, getting through it like Kandy floss !!
It’s easier to do than it looks and any break in routine can do it. It’s good that you had no effects from it, a flare of OA is bad enough.
I well remember how my upper torso jumped a foot upwards, whilst the lower part felt like it would fall out on to the floor when I found my morning dose of tablets still there at night. ☹️
I know the feeling very well John as I've done it so many times. I take a lot of pills while eating my breakfast (so that they don't make my stomach sore, especially Warfarin), but although they are right in front of me I can still totally ignore. Must stop eating breakfast while sat in front of my PC!!
Thanks for that. 🙂 .....and for the insight into your breakfast dining habits.🙂 I used to do that ....until I spilt a cup of tea over my keyboard. Cost me a new keyboard. That put a stop to it ! Lol!
Yeah, that's the annoying thing ..... I have too, many times over the last 10 years. Must say though, the distraction of the OA pain was quite something else.
Thanks for the 100 lines .........OMG how I remember those days
I forgot mine twice recently, despite having reminders on my phone - my daughter bought me a pill box and I still managed to forget one! I’m 53 and I get distracted! I was told by the pharmacist that it is more dangerous to take a double dose and that the meds to an extent remain in your system for a bit, so best off starting afresh the next day if there is any doubt!
I've done it before and now don't worry about it and, like you say, just start again next day.
What was new for me has been the higher dose of pain killer to deal with OA shoulder pain. I was pretty spaced out 😕. Gonna have to watch that in future.
My husband uses a pill box ( I don't) and the other night glanced at his box and noticed the following days morning dose missing! On questioning he had put evening dose on table and "thought" he hadnt taken morning ones so hastily took them at 5pm arrgh. Only he had of course. No ill effects apart from spike in my anxiety!!
If you are taking co-codamol I'm amazed that you remembered that you forgot, that stuff totally wiped me out

When I was first prescribed it for pain relief after knee replacement surgery that was the effect on me. Now, 5 years on I use it in moderation for arthritis pa in relief. I have stronger stuff for sleeping at night -now that really does wipe me out 😕
