Any advice for gums overgrowing my teeth, due to medication that I am on for Atrial Fibbulation.

Hello thank you for your time, it is diltiazem that I have been on for four years,under the name of tiliem la 200mg.I allways thought the dose too strong.

This article says calcium channel blockers can cause that. And your drug Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker. The article seems to recommend surgical removal and/or changing drugs: "Amlodipine-induced gingival enlargement was diagnosed and managed by thorough scaling and root planning. Drug substitution and surgical intervention was performed in first two cases..."

OMG!!!Verapamil did that to me but once changed cardiologist he stopped it and put me in different meds instead...Digoxin and Flecainide and others...my gums have got to normal now.
