Medical bracelets

It's been five weeks since my Cardioversion and my consultant yesterday said that now because of my age I only have about a 30% chance of reverting back to PAfib, which he thought was a good think even though I still think it is quite high. I have been taken off Apaxiban but still on Flecainide, which will be long term. I was wearing an medical bracelet because of the Apaxiban which obviously I no longer need, but do I need one for the Flecainide does anyone know?

Why do you think that you no longer need anticoagulation? You have AF then you have a stroke risk.

Hi Bob, my CHADSVASC was and is 0, I was only on Apaxiban prior and immediately after my Cardioversion. As my cardioversion is considered successful then there is no need to be on them any more.

I used to wear one when I was anticoagulated. The one I had was from onelifeid. Part of the deal is that you can input parts of your medical record and this is available to medical staff if they scan the bracelet and use the PIN number printed on the back. After I was taken off anti-coagulents I bought a new bracelet tag with just contact details. I left the medical record of my AF on there and just use the bracelet when I am out on my bike.

Probably useful if I have an accident, but I don't think its needed just for flecainaide.
