Has anyone got one of these or a necklace? It's something I've been thinking about as I don't often carry my wallet around if I'm just going to work or school or I'm with the missus (she'll only spend my money ).
I have an alert card in my wallet, but nothing more. Obviously I'm in the mindset of "text when you get there" within my family just so they know/I know where I am etc and I have "ICE contacts" saved in my phone "incase of emergency" and "emergency medial information" on my phone when it is locked - again only works if the person who finds you knows how to access your phone. I admit I wouldn't have a clue on an unfamiliar phone.

Hi I’ve had an ID bracelet since my 3rd cardiac arrest back in 2014 I’m now on my 3rd bracelet as I wanted to change the style of the bracelet. I currently have a red cylicone bracelet with 5 lines of info typed onto the plaque. If you go to the web site of the ID Band Company you will see they have a very wide range of bracelets. They provide an excellent service which I cannot fault. I hope this help.
Hi Jedi , I have a silicone band , cheap and cheerful . Says anticoagulant on one face and rivaroxaban medicated on other . Can't remember the site but just googled ID bands .
My daughter has been on warfarin since she was 18yrs old , at my insistance she has worn one since then . Seemed only sensible that I should do the same . Although not that unusual for an old biddy to be anticoagulated , not something that would first come to mind in a youngster .
I have a silicon band bracelet like Jean’s. Cheap and cheerful with the added benefit that you don’t have to take it off to shower or swim - nor have the problem of remembering to put it back on again afterwards!
I live in Australia and bought a stainless steel stretchy medi alert bracelet which has AF and Xarelto engraved on the back of the medical symbol part For the cost of $40 for bracelet, it includes updating all my conditions and medications and specialists and doctors to their medical website and given a number (also on back of bracelet) so if in accident etc all details can be accessed simply I pay an annual fee and can update website whenever I want - It gives me peace of mind.
Yes i have a SOS bracelet,there is an excellent site theidbandco.com, they do all manner of ID products,well worth a look! Also,ihave found that it reminded colleagues that I have an ongoing condition which is not always obvious!
Thanks for all your useful links. The trouble with a bracelet is I can't wear it for work due to infection control reasons and being "bare below the elbow" (though I still have to wear trousers even though they're below the elbow !) so I was also looking into the necklaces because they can be tucked in..... or even an anklet if there is such a thing seeing as I'm not "on tag" any more.
It’s important if you are on anti- coagulants, to carry some information on you, so people know in an emergency. I always carry the card, that comes with the anti-coagulants, in my phone cover. People will probably look in that rather than on your arm for bracelets, although I also have a bracelet as well.
