Following on from John’s post, here’s a collage of photos from today. It’s Mother’s Day in Australia, some of our restrictions have been lifted so we could have the family together to celebrate.
My daughters cooked pancakes for brunch and we then went for a boat ride to buy take away coffee (no dine in allowed yet) and the kids went for a kayak. George (the groodle) really wanted to join them. It has been perfect.
Western Australia is leading the nation when it comes to COVID19. We now have only 7 known active cases in the state, 4 of those in hospital and one in ICU.
My heart is behaving nicely. I’m feeling more positive than I have in a long time. Onwards and upwards!
Take care everyone - I worry about our UK, Europe and US based family and friends, including you all xx

I think you should have too. That’s what we keep saying, if we have to be isolated, this is a pretty good place to be! We’re sad we can’t have the trip to Europe as planned but we know we’re much better off here and we’ll get to Europe again another day.
Oh wow that looks wonderful ,and it's so nice you could spend it with your family.I can't wait to give my grandchildren a big hug and the rest of my family and friends too but only once it's safe to do so .
Kaz, those pictures are so lovely. I must admit to having an aching envy that you were able to spend time with your family. We are self-isolating, my daughters and their families are too, and we were really hoping that the idea of a 'family pod' would be allowed as almost without doubt, we are all virus-free. But not yet, sadly.
I had to look up groodle! We have a cockapoo, (working cocker) and boy, does she keep us fit!
Lovely town to live kaz, you’ve so many waterways I remember seeing it a few years back. Hope u get to go to Greece next year!
Here up my mountain we r now allowed to go out further...from today as we unlock very cautiously, so I can ditch this uphill walks! Flat walks here I come....not that I’ve many in the alps!
Thanks Sue. Our international borders are closed and we keep being told “it may be for a long time” so it’s hard to know when we’ll get the Greece. We may be able to go to New Zealand as they are doing pretty well too and our Prime Ministers are talking about a travel bubble. Good job we have so many beautiful places here in Australia to visit too 😎
