I Have received the following email from Health Unlocked this morning:

Hello Jean,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

HealthUnlocked is a social networking health site, which enables charities and other health-related organisations to run their own peer-to-peer communities. We are technology providers to our partners. However, we would recommend you to reach out to your local chemist or your GP for help.

We understand that this is a confusing and ever changing time but HealthUnlocked have decided that we are not going to create a new community for COVID-19, primarily because HealthUnlocked doesn’t give out medical advice.

The best we feel like we can help all of our users is create the positive well-being community to empower people to stay positive during this time. You can find this new community here: Positive Wellbeing during Self-Isolation. The new community was launched with the intention of to support everyone going through self-isolation by sharing tips and ideas around positive wellbeing.

Ideally, we want to try and keep questions regarding users specific health conditions going into the positive well-being community to keep it a positive place for people with a variety of health conditions. We’re hoping that users will still use their own communities to post their condition specific questions and thoughts about COVID-19.

We understand that COVID-19 is taking up a large amount of space within most communities, but, we feel that this is the best place for people to share advice and get answers specific to their existing health conditions.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time, please do feel free to get in touch if you need more support.

All the best of health to you,

Sounds fair enough. With everyone being affected by this terrible virus it is only natural that it will come into our everyday conversation never mind in discussion of our problems.
