Travel Insurance

Good afternoon everybody. I have just taken out travel insurance with Fit2Travel for my forthcoming holiday in September in Majorca. I have health problems like we all do on here, and was quoted a very reasonable price. Have any of you had experience of this insurable company, especially making a claim? Any feed back would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Well I would say the most important thing is get an EHic card.....they are still valid till end of year......Spain is excellent...I had afib there and the EHic covers all...give the card and that’s it no paying out........

As for insurance ten years ago I had a devil of a job with a shoulder injury and cancelling a long haul trip.......I needed an op........but I used the ombudsman who deemed them at fault and had to pay me pkus interest!

But as I said the EHIc in Spain is brilliant back up .

Thanks for your reply. Yes I do have a valid EHIC card. I have also taken out insurance with Fit2travel and just wondered if anyone had experience of travel insurance with them..

I have just cancelled our holiday which I had insured with fit to travel so I also had to cancel the insurance. I must say that they telephoned and spoke to me at length and were very good. They offered to refund half of the premium which was fair. Overall a good impression.
