Morning all, as a Vegetarian people tell me I should be taking vitamin B12 on a daily basis. Does anyone have experience of using this vitamin with Warfarin?

Vegetarian, Warfarin and B12

If you are vegan, you would need to worry about B12, but a vegetarian eating dairy and eggs should not have a problem.
Plenty of good information on the internet
Hi Nan1
If you have been tested and have a deficiency, then the doctor will probably issue you with B12 injections. As flying carpet has stated: Dairy and leafy veg should provide your body with enough. I have not eaten meat for 35 years+ and don't have the requirement for B12 supplements, but eat a very varied diet.
Check a video on YouTube called "when supplements harm"
Talks about the side effects of too much b12 ,interesting .
Will do, thank you
I am ovo-lacto vegetarian (have been for decades) , take Xarelto and also take B12. I have had no problems, and I find the added B12 increases my energy levels. Warfarin impacts all of the clotting factors in blood (while Xarelto impacts only one) so I am not sure if B12 interacts with it. You should ask your doctor to be safe.
Many thanks for your reply. I have checked with doctor and all ok to take but would need to have a blood test a few days after starting. Regards
