Does anyone else get blue lips? Had for a long time now, GP says they think it’s linked to heart, but hospital not sure why I have this! Also any stabbing pains with heart beat.
Thanks

I'm sure you've done your own research about this TC. However as I'm sure you know it can be a result of circulation problems and a poor oxygen supply.
A heart problem can cause this for sure. A sign for me that I'm in a-fib is having pins and needles in the tips of my fingers. My right hand also turns slightly blue - a sure sign of a circulation problem for me. A doctor might say it's not linked and it's carpal tunnel syndrome - however it always seems to happen at the same time as a-fib. A coincidence ?
I doubt it.
I think people are often OK with circulation problems and can lead a full and active life with this problem.
Just one thing to note though. If you are feeling stabbing pains when your heart beats you should have this checked out right away. I'm sure everything will be OK but don't leave it to chance. If you experience ANY stabbing pains in your chest seek medical attention there and then.
Play it safe

I was once told “blue lips = blue lights” meaning to call an ambulance.
Not sure how true that is mind, 111 is a good place to start
My lips went slightly blue when I was in AFib - I put it down to circulation and meds bisopropol @ 7.5mg - now in NSR and bisoprolol reduced to 5mg - no sign of the slightly blue lips! I'm on other meds too but bisoprolol is the only medicine that had been reduced. No stabbing pains tho!!
