We are cruising from Jamaica taking in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Maya, Panama etc..cost for two weeks is an eye watering £1250.00. My husband has atrial flutter and atrial fib. two replacement knees and a knackered thyroid. Its because we are on a cruise and part of it is around the USA. Ridiculous price.

This doesn't surprise me....was quoted 3k insurance for 2 week cruise across the Pond on Queen Mary a few years back.

It's ridiculous but,we wouldn't risk going without insurance. All clear was the cheapest. The post office quoted £14k! Obviously they didn't want the business.

Allclear are a good company. You find out how good when you have to claim. I found them up to the mark but always worth going on price comparison sites

Take a peek at the section on travel.

Try Avanti. Having refused me an annual EU policy (yes, multiple health problems!) on line, they agreed on the telephone a 10-day Canary Island trip for a very reasonable premium. A helpful attitude, too.

Is it because of the destination? We cruise to Norway in few months ,and it was 65 pounds for a week for two of us. I have AF and flutter ,BP..hubby has BP and diabetes.

All clear company.

It does seem wildly expensive! Have a good time anyway!

Yes,I believe it is. I researched and shopped around for the best quote. We have a platinum account with loyds but, they won't cover the husband's heart condition. Hoping to go on a cruise next year to Japan gawd knows what that premium will look like!

I have used Staysure before for all my heart, lung and blood issues. More recently my bank has provided me with the same cover and cut the premium in half. Hope you find something more competitive.
