I've watched several of his livestreams on Facebook and he does his best to answer ever question asked. It's just a case of typing @yorkcardiologist onto Facebook. I don't think he's said the time yet so keep an eye out for it.
Thanks Jean and doodle for the link. I watch it last night. What a lovely man if only all docs had his easy manner. I most likely book a telephone/Skype session with him as I have many questions. I have no cardiologist now and my EP who offers no other options but amiodarone and ablation which I don’t want. So he’ll drop me soon as I’ll refuse ablation again My AF is much Is proved. Sleepless in Sussex!
Hello Seawalk your welcome, we AFers should help and support each other when we can, there isn't always much help from other quarters.
I am in the same position as yourself, having refused an Ablation at all costs my EP/Cardioligist has said there is little more that they can do for me so I have been removed from the clinic list unless I change my mind.
For those of us taking NOAC anticoagulants it is important to maintain contact and blood tests with a GP if we are not seeing a consultant.
Hello doodle, thanks for your post. it’s good to read your are in same position as me. Are you taking any meds other than NOACS. I do have blood test regularly as I was on Amiodarone for 6 months. I tell them what test I need🙂
Hi Seawalk I take the BB Nebivolol and the NOAC Apixaban and have a blood test every 6 months to check the NOAC isn't having an adverse effect on liver/kidney function.
I find I'm able to totally trust everything that he says and he puts it all so clearly that you don't get lost with medical jargon.
He deserves some kind of award for all the help and knowledge he's given freely to all we people who suffer from AF.
He's the consultant for one of our members on here and I'm full of envy. If you haven't already, have a look at the helpful talks he's placed on his YouTube page.
I’ve only briefly looked at iTube but I am going to subscribe to his channel so I don’t miss anything. Interested in what he will say about Lyme and heart as I have been bitten by ticks 3times in the past. And once had the typical ring. Thanks again. C.
