Hi all wishing you all a healthy and happy new year.

As usual I am overthinking everything, however I have nucleus stress test (drug) on the 17th. I have to stop taking bisopolol two days before.

My question is will I get any major side effects not taking it. Just concerned as everyone says how important it is.

I have been in afib for a good few months, waiting for cv.

Many thanks in advance

Don't get fobbed off by anybody saying you are overthinking, for the majority I am sure it pays back!

Thank you second try

Hi, I doubt you will feel any side effects by stopping for such a short time, I have had to do this on a couple of occasions. Worst case you will feel an increased HR, and possibly headache

I had this very test last October, they only make your HR rise by a small amount, it is much less punishing than doing the treadmill!

Straight after the test they injected me with IV metropolol beta blocker

Oh thank you Mikee, as I said I have a terrible habit of overthinking things.

I didn’t know whether to take bisopolol with me for afterwards.

I have to take something to eat with me as I am diabetic and I can’t take my drugs until I eat.

When I tell people I am diabetic I always feel that I have to point out that I don’t look like the type 2 the bbc show every time they talk about diabetes 🙄😜😂

I would definitely take your meds with you, just incase they do things differently, but it was one of the easiest tests I've had done.

All the best

Mike
