Good morning everyone. As you may remember I had my first cryo ablation in January 2015 and at the time I was told they may need to do another one as I only reverted back with Flecanide.
The first one helped enormously and took my life off hold as I was having episodes once or twice a week. This year I have had 7 episodes and the longest without one is six months which gave me a false sense of security
I am now back on bisoprolol and rivaroxiban and my EP will do the RF ablation to find the areas which the cryo balloon couldn't reach.
I have had my bloods done and the MRSA swap and am just waiting for the call to come in. I am going to St Barts Heart Centre in London and wondered whether anyone else on here has experience of them. I am feeling pretty nervous and keep thinking whether I should be doing this now or waiting until it gets worse again.
Enjoy your Sunday.

Don't have first hand experience of Barts but I can tell you that my Consultant EP transferred from Barts and he is brilliant. I have the greatest of confidence in him.
Your dilemma re having it done now or waiting until it gets worse is one we all face. As I'm sure you know, many EPs believe the earlier the better. I chose RF ablation over meds at the beginning of my journey. That was in Nov 2013 and after a rocky start (5 months of ectopics/bumps) I have been free of the dreaded AF. So be guided by your EP and your own instincts and good luck 🍀
