Hi Folks from my Hospital Bed and not without hassle. My dear old body decided after 3 months of no episodes to go into AF 9 hours before Surgery. It was to be a 4 hour op , removal and repair of a Nerve Sheath Tumour in my armpit. Panic stations followed which didn't help as that was the cause of the AF anyway, I doubled up on Bisoprolol and sat down to watch Casualty ( wrong choice) and low and behold after2 hours which is a record it stopped. I turned up at 7am and decided not to mention it as all was fine anyway when they did an an ECG , Home tomorrow, surgery went well and hopefully in 2 months time 1 won't have any lasting effects. SO the motto is DONT BE NERVOUS as you all said and I thank you for that but it didn't help. I was a jibbering wreck.
