I changed from Warfarin to apixaban earlier this year and it makes a terrific difference to my fingers and toes - I currently have chilblains on both feet. I walk with my dog about 3-5 miles a day and wear boots designed for the snow and two pairs of gloves. Anyone suggest a really good make of boot or shoe and socks?

Cold feet
Hi,
i used to get chilblains as well with blood thinners,
as i work out side,
But now got some wellies there called muck boots there about £100 a pair but there the warmest boots i,ve had,
Good luck
Have you tried felt insoles inside your boots? I’m on Apixaban but actually my extremity circulation has improved - strange isn’t it?
I agree with Higgy52, get Muck Boots from the Muck Boot company, I walk dogs and have tried all sorts of boots, these are the warmest, comfiest boots ever. I got the Arctic Muck Boot on ebay for £60 so there are bargains to be had. Lots of different types, I researched on You Tube first. Only I down side, they don't hold the ground as well as I wanted. Next time I will try another from the range. They are completely waterproof and have neoprene on the inside and leg which is so warm. Don't be tempted to buy the cheaper brands as they have split after a few weeks.
For inside these slippers/indoor shoes are amazing zillertaler-doggln.at/de/pa... can't stop wearing them and improved lower leg circulation
I also walk my dog three or four miles a day and everywhere is a quagmire at the moment. I need to keep my feet warm and dry, and I find the best for me are are waterproof snow boots; I am wearing a pair from Mountain Warehouse which I bought online when a decent discount was being offered. My feet never get cold, and I can rinse all the mud off at the front door. My husband wears the Muck Boots and really likes those.
As an aside, in the winter I put my dog in an Equafleece dog suit; it cuts down on bathing her every day and only her feet and where the gap is underneath need washing! Expensive but worth it for the time I save. equafleece.co.uk/dogs/fleec...
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my dog won’t wear a coat - or a harness! She runs away as soon as she sees it🙁
I too am on Apixaban and have Reynauds and have suffered from cold hands and feet since I was a child. Does Apixaban make it worse? My fingers often go completely white and when cold I wear fingerless gloves but of course no good when cooking or washing up etc. Any advice anyone out there?
