Hello everyone, hope everyone is keeping well. I need some ideas please, My HR has been all over the place, I don’t think I am in aF but i sure am in virtually constant ectopic, which is making me feel quite exhausted and uncomfortable. Has anyone any remedies that would help me, well not remedies as such but ways of helping me feel better than i do at present.

Magnesium is said to help ectopics, you can either take a tablet e.g. citrate or taurate, put it in your bath as salts or spray it on. Also doing slow deep breathing for about 5 minutes, allowing your stomach (not chest) to expand on each in breath.

I’ve no solution but I am replying to say I’ve had two bouts if that since my ablation....cardio said it was nothing to worry about but I fekt tired out and not at all normal.

I found them also to be very tiring and tiresome and for me, usually an indicator that I had done more than my body was prepared to put up with so rest. slow breathing exercises and relaxation usually sorted them out.

I am totally exhausted, I wish I could get a grip of them. Thank you.

Ectopics are miserable and thrive on anxiety. Have a look at this video where Dr Gupta explains how to control them with breathing.

Your right, I know it’s anxiety but can’t seem to get control of it properly, granddaughter has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and there has been a lot of to and frowing since I had my ablation.

I’m so very sorry to read this - it’s bound to be a stressful time for you. I see Dr Gupta is your cardiologist - very highly thought of on this forum. Have you thought of contacting him as he may be able to help with the stress aspect of things too?

I hope your heart can settle and that your granddaughter makes a full recovery. xx

Hi Neil, I had an ablation in July and my consultant (Dr Sanjay Gupta) says that sadly ablations don’t usually sort out ectopics, if only! I have a lot of stress in my life at present, 20yr old granddaughter been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is unwell. Relaxation would be great if only I could.
