For the first time I've got a severe cold, cough etc together.

It's changed my AF symptoms ALOT.

It means I'm sleeping very fitfully if at all and I'm suffering severe Anxiety, also suffer Panic Attacks For my cough I use Exputex which contains CARBOCISTEINE. Does anybody have any experience of this medication.

Any infection will make your heart work harder and likely exacerbate your AF so just try accepting you are ill and it will pass. I have had "the cold" that seems to be going round and it put my heart rate up considerably for a few days but as it passes so it is returning to normal. This is the way our bodies react!

I would urge you to carefully read the slips with any cough or cold medication as many of them contain drugs/chemicals which can cause heart rhythm disorders.

Kind of along this line of sickness that effects heart...yesterday I got my second shot of shingles vaccine. This morning early I had dizziness extreme weakness passed out. I’ll spare the details. bP dropped and had afib off and on all day . Not as weak this evening .

Learned that the new shingles vaccine gives some people flu like symptoms which I’ve had. And have had more problems with heart today than I’ve had in a long time.

In the past when had bronchitis I fainted, had injury to ankle with severe pain and fainted.

Wondering if I had a pass maker if I wouldn’t faint with such stress on the body?

You need to discuss this situation with your doctor as soon as possible. Any fainti9ng needs investigating.

Thanks BobD for your valued advice.

I am now on Antibiotics for Respitory tract infections.
