Hi, you should have that checked out asap if that is fairly constant.

Thanks Buffafly, will do. Have had back checked by a physiotherapist and nothing to show.

Yes I had crippling pain across lower back after 2 weeks. So put on Riveroxaban same thing exactly 2 weeks later so went on Warfarin and am ok, it’s a bit of a faff but no physical problems. Best of luck Jo

Thanks Jo. That's most interesting and sort of fits with my own suspicions. Let's see if I can convince my GP.

What I'm thinking, Chalky, is Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, rather too much experience with that so I'm perhaps over conscious of the possibility 😊

Jo, how long before your pain disappeared after switching to Warfarin?

It was a week I think, I had to have antibiotics as it had affected my waterworks!!! Exactly the same for both drugs. Been fine on warfarin.

You might have hit the nail on the head for me....was on Rivaroxaban but that made me bleed... been on Apixaban and been suffering horrendous lower back and abdomen pains...hmmmmm

Thanks gixxerboy. Most interesting.

I believe back pain is a known side effect of Riveroxiban but not listed as such with Apixaban. Perhaps we are the exceptions that prove the rule.

Though I still have to convince my GP of this

Both of those drugs affected my kidneys - interstitial nephritis. Loin pain. Nausea. Loss of appetite. Abdo pain. Get the urine checked out.
