Anti malaria tablets.

I take bisoprolol and apixaban for af ,and also avastatartin for cholesterol.

Can I take an anti malarial alongside these drugs

Going to Sth Africa ,Kruger Nat Park so any advice would be appreciated.

Best discuss with your pharmacist as they have books about all the contar indications.

Hello I take flecainide and atorvastatin for af and high chloresterol and anti malaria made my af much worse. Suggest you take one before you go to see what happens! I just use repellent now. Good luck and have a fun trip!

Beware of mefloquine (Lariam) . This can cause very serious side effects that do not always go away when you stop taking it.

i went to Namibia this time last year. I couldn't get malaria tablets via my GP or a pharmacist because of being on Warfarin. I was really worried but went anyway. Saw one mosquito!
