Good Morning All,

Well, here i am, at the start of week 2, post Ablation.

First week.

Heart rate is up by 10/ 20 BPM. Had the odd bump in my heart and one episope of fast pace on Thursday, This only lasted a few minute's.

My groin area's have not been an issue at all. No pain or bruising there. All cleared up very well indeed.

I have had rather a lot of migraine Auras and had another two yesterday, followed by headaches. I had been clear from these for two day's. Yesterday i lay on my front in the garden, so i am wondering if the pressure of lying on my front brought these two on.

I am still getting indegestion and my digestive system seems sluggish. I am waking up on a morning with horrid indegestion. I take Lanzoprasol every day anyway, as i have suffered with acid reflux for many years, but finding, at the moment, having to take Rennie also. It still feels bruised in this area. I suffer with Asthma and it stings when i use my inhaler.

My chest area is pain free.

I have followed the Doctors orders and really rested last week and will continue to do so this week.

In myself. I felt great for the first 3 days, but then started to feel Anxious that my AF will come back. Had a couple of down days and felt slightly emotional.

I am still taking my meds, betablocker, blood thinner and Flec. Although my Flec has been reduced from 200mg a day to 100mg.

One question i would like to ask. If i did have an AF attack. Would i treat it as i would have done pre ablation and just take my Flecanide?

Well lets see what today brings. I have a new book to read and a garden chair with my name on, waiting for me.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

That all sounds quite normal Mandy and so pleased that you are being sensible and resting plenty. Sounds like a plan with the flecainide but be positive and I'm sure you won't need it. By the way as we say in our fact sheet the raised heart rate may take some months to return to lowere levels so don;t worry on that account. Oh and stay well hydrated. Lots of water especiallu in this warm weather.

Thank you Bob.

Do as my Dad says....😉 but be careful about soaring temperatures, sun stroke and AF don’t go well together. Just in case you haven’t seen the factsheet....
