So I’ve been back at work 5 weeks (how time flies). I’m loving it, especially being only 3 days with one of those from home. I haven’t had any noticeable AF but have had some tachycardia and ectopics. I’m finding when I have long, busy days, especially with commuting to the city and being out and about at meetings & events, my heart gets jumpy and I get really tired. I’m probably my own worst enemy. My mind races at 100 miles an hour but my body can’t keep up - it’s very frustrating.
That said, I am taking time out to connect with nature and relax. This weekend we’re babysitting our grand puppy George who is now 6 months old (remember the photo I posted of the cute little puppy? - he’s not so little now). Here’s a few photos from our walk today.

Early days still as regards the ablation but fingers crossed,it behaves itself. Been a year today since I had my cardioversion but I am taking 2.5 bisop & 50 Flec after ticker threw a bit of a wobbly few months back.
Just glad technology has come on in leaps & bounds for us to connect on sites like this & not rely on the so called professionals!
You’ve a prefect setting for nice relaxing times....great you’ve got back into the world again.....I’m looking forward to Australia in September...my heart ticks well but I’m aware of every tiny oddity....guess we never loose that awareness eh......
Ectopics(this is my understanding anyway) are when one heartbeat is early so you have two heartbeats close together then a longer pause to the next. It feels like a skipped beat but in reality all the beats are there. I’ve caught them on my Kardia previously. They nothing to worry about.
Dr Sanjay Gupta can explain it better than me so check out this short video youtu.be/4m3JJ0bdogM
It’s not AF - believe me - I’ve been around the block a few times with AF (and AFlutter and Atrial Tachycardia). I am on an anticoagulant and have had 4 ablations.
