I'd forgotten over the last 6-8 months how much of a reset button getting out in the Peak District was.
Today I'm feeling quite proud. Yesterday I walked 6 miles with my other half and our youngest (who walked half of that with little legs).
Apart from being back at work a couple of days a week, I've still been getting quite tired. But I've also been getting cabin fever with OH on nights and me at work in between times it's all got very "single dad" like at home, we take it in turns working and being at home and never really get family time.
I had planned to go out alone for a few hours, but it was such a nice day I really wanted to do something together and I'm so glad we did.
Heart rate has behaved and I took on plenty of fluids, though I ache a lot that's not down to the AF thats through being out of practise. I'm pleased to say little lady is calm outdoors and relaxed just like her dad!

Wow, massive move forward to last post I remember jedi, good going and great to hear no problems after all bad months you've suffered , good for the soul getting a good walk in fresh air I bet . Especially with the family, but of a reset button day, enjoy mate. 👌
Pleased to hear that it has given you a boost. Just love the Peak District, so am full of envy that you can go there. Nature can be so wonderfully healing.
Hi, It looks like Longdendale to me so maybe you started from the car-park at Padfield/Hadfield where the "League of Gentlemen" used many locations to entertain us (or recoil !!!!)
Nice done alot of walking around the peaks, forest of bowland worth a visit as well, very beautiful and no big crowds !
YEAH! Enjoy. You forget just how small, little people are. We met a family with a toddler yesterday and were mesmerised at just how tiny she was. She did well walking 3 miles, although all my grandchildren can now well out walk me - there was a time.......
So pleased and may you enjoy many, many more such days.
Walking is wonderful, if you have the time, I try to walk 5 to 6 miles a day, being retired helps of course, and you can rework all your problems and help solve them as you walk
Good lad, well done, keep at it, nowt like the green stuff for getting your head together. Ditch the bread, biscuits and cakes as well. In 6 weeks you will be a new man. Well done
