My first ‘week’ back at work

Thanks everyone for your well wishes with my return to work. It’s been a wet and miserable week weather wise but I haven’t been able to wipe the smile of my face. My new work week consists of Tuesdays and Thursdays in the city office and Wednesdays working from home. It means I only need to set my alarm two mornings a week. I’m loving being back in the thick of things but it is tiring. Today, my first day off, has been spent sleeping in, cooking and relaxing. I haven’t had my usual walks for exercise this week but I am commuting by bus and train so have been getting a bit of walking time in just getting about. Once I’m settled I’ll get into a routine. I’m looking forward to going walking on the weekend.

I thought I’d share a photo of my first day back. This is St George’s Terrace, the Main Street for business in Perth.

What a great place to work, I liked the way the train runs down the middle of the motorway & so cheap, here we are in Florida, ideal with being so flat & nearest train 100 miles away.

The only bus we have is the greyhound service that comes through twice a day, it’s a sad place as regards public transport!

Glad to see your back to some kind of normality,

Good on ya mate!

Thanks Frank. Yeah we have some pretty good public transport here. It costs less than A$4.00 each way (US $2.75) so I can’t complain 😃
