Magnesium is supposed to be good for the heart. There are various types of magnesium and I’m wondering which is considered the best for cardio.

I take mag. taurate 125mg x 2+ 1000mg of taurine as recommended in the above , I vary this with mag.orotate as it is slightly cheaper but still take the added taurine.

Taurate, Glycinate (BlueBonnet on Amazon), and Citrate (Calm-on Amazon).

Mg Glycinate is supposed to be better if others give you stomach issues I take Taurate

This is what Dr Sanjay Gupta of York Cardiology recommends:

As there are so many preparations, it is beyond the scope of this review to go through each and every one of them. In general, magnesium oxide is least effective and best avoided. I have used Magnesium taurate 125 mg twice a day with great success in many of my patients. Similarly Magnesium Citrate at 200 mg daily is also very effective as is Magnesium glycinate. Magnesium supplements are very easily available at health food stores and online suppliers such as Amazon.
