Eliquis withdrawls
Not understanding why you would stop anticoagulation? There is still the risk of stroke but this is not increased by stopping., just returns to previous unprotected level.
I think that if you desperately need anti-inflammatory medication - short term, you just do it, and accept that, short term, you are once per hundred years more likely to have a stroke? ...but you continue to take the anti-coagulants.
Some consultants/dentists might want you to stop anti-coag for a day or two before an operation?
Equilis is expensive if you have to pay for it... it could take quite a bit out of a pension.
I had to stop for 48 hours or so due to operation. Didn't notice anything at all.
Hi. Due to another condition I have had to come off Xarelto for a short time - just stopped it with no withdrawals at all and no need to gradually reduce over time or anything like that. Liz
Sanded, I did not realize that anticoagulants produced withdrawal symptoms. Are you experiencing any?
Do not stop taking xerelto without talking to your doctor or detoxing slowly. My wife ran out and the pharmacy gave her enough to last her. Stopping cold can and will cause blood clots and strokes. Stopping makes your blood thicken to quickly and there is the danger samdee.
The withdrawals a few people get are extreme tiredness and maybe headaches. You can stop it for an operation but do not do it without doctor supervision.
