Morning Ablation take 2

Well tomorrow is the day. Finally back in to Freeman Hospital Newcastle in the morning for the ablation cancelled in Feb. Total bag of nerves again but a little different to last time, 2 stone lighter a little fitter and strangely calm so far (might lose a another stone between tonight and tomorrow 😂). Hopefully post soon with updates, doubt much sleep tonight....

All the best Ian. Being lighter and fitter should help with your recovery x

I really hope it goes well. Are you having a GA.

Remember to take some headphones and/or a book for the lying flat afterwards. And take a big enough bag to put in the clothes you go to hospital in. I thought I'll go with a small one but forgot I'd be undressing!! Der brain.

And snacks in case you don't like the hospital offerings.

Let us know how you get on.

Ianp, well you mentioned you had a long journey in your supportive response to me earlier but didn't mention it was for an ablation and there I was thinking you might be going somewhere for a pleasant day out. Instead you are going on a journey to better health which has to be even better once you have gone through the ablation journey.

Thank you very much for selflessly taking the time to respond to me when you have a momentous day in front of you. I hear freeman hospital is one of the great ones with a good ablation track record. Here's to you getting the outcome you are looking for. All will be well and as you know they will take great care of you. Once in situe the nerves calm somewhat in all procedures so go with the flow.

The usual mantra applies, rest, rest and rest some more post procedure and get back to af free life thereafter. You have the summer ahead to recoup, regroup and then sail forward free from this darned af. Best wishes for today and ongoing. X

Good luck for tomorrow Ian. The Freeman has a good reputation. My EP was trained there. Let us all know how you get on.

I hope that everything goes well for you, I know you have had a very stressful time with your last ablation cancelled as you were waiting in bed. Come back and let us know how you are, and remember, take it very very easy! Best wishes.

Hi Ian

Good luck with the ablation. I'm awaiting my second one at the Freeman...been on the list since last July. Who's doing yours...is it Stephen Murray? If so, tell him to hurry up with mine!! I'm sure all will be fine.

All the best Ian, and rest ,rest, rest!

Hi Ian, i remember that your post regarding your first ablation being cancelled while you were actually in the bed waiting to go in was one of the first posts I commented on when I was new here. I’m so wishing you all the very best today and can’t wait to hear how it goes.

Take good care 😊

Ps

I could do with losing 2 stone in 3 months! Well done!!!
