Afib update and basketball fun

Hello everyone,

I've continued to feel better in general with my latest dosage of supplements. I'm now at 1/2 of a Heart Calm cap in the morning (5mg CoQ10, 50mg Mag, 16mg Potassium, 151mg Taurine) and one MacaPause cap in the morning, too, along with my other basic supplements. The MacaPause seems to have re-balanced my hormones, which were really out of whack.

I've had episodes as I've worked on adjusting the dosages and at times Flecainide seemed to have made them worse.

I had an acupuncture treatment the other day and he said that he can tell that I'm stronger in general, so that was nice to hear.

Yesterday I felt good, but seem to have overexerted, as I woke in AF at around 5:30am. I decided to wait longer to see if my heart might convert itself back or if yoga or rest might help, but took 100 Flec at 12:30pm. It's still interesting how the episodes are much easier to tolerate. I'd be happy to be entirely free of them, but at least they are not as miserable as they once were.

Well, this was a funny one.

Not sure if many of you are following professional basketball these days. Our local NBA team, the Warriors, are in the playoffs for the national title and today was the first day of the series, with a very exciting nail-biter of a game. Great fun to watch!

Heart stayed in AF the entire time. Thankfully, the Flec didn't make it worse and it was a mild episode, so tolerable.

Then literally the moment the Warriors won, my heart converted back to NSR!! 😂🤣😂

Hi Nella - good to hear from you and pleased you are feeling better in yourself and tolerating the episodes better. As a matter of interest - do you monitor your HRV = Heart Rate Variability? I have found mine spikes the same time every day - when I’m preparing dinner and always my low point of the day. I’ve worked with HRV for over 10 years now as a I tried to calm my vagal nerve but this is suddenly becoming mainstream as this podcast will illustrate, I think it may interest you.

Thanks for this interesting update, Nella.

A return to NSR is always so welcome - whatever brings it about.

Thanks, Ytarnt.

Fortunately, for last night's very exciting playoff game, which my team won, I was in NSR the entire time. :-)

Trying to sleep after that was a challenge, but my heart stayed strong and in NSR, so I was grateful for that.
