I have ventricular tachycardia, have had an I. C. D, fitted, that problem solved ! I now have persistent A/F, I had a cardioversion six weeks ago, it lasted eight days, I saw the E/P, who suggested it be tried again, this time taking Amiodorone, beforehand, I have heard that this is a pretty obnoxious drug, would welcome comments on this, I feel so very unwell, that I would try anything, one complication being, that I have had M/E for many years, and tend to wonder what is due to the M/E and what is the A/ Fib. Help, please.

sorry to hear you are having problems. I think Amiodorone is a last resort type drug- I haven't taken it myself but it may not be too bad for short periods- see what others say here who have taken it. Is cardio version all that has been offered- I wondered about ablation??
