Does any one else find they have a problem with strength in their fingertips when on betablockers? I find I am unable to undo the fastenings on our great-granddaughter’s pushchair and now I can’t open the new closures on washing pod boxes!
I changed to a calcium channel blocker before but that didn’t suit me so back on Nebivolol.
Hi Hylda, I don't think I get noticeable finger strength issues on Bisoprolol (although over the years I have lost a lot of overall fitness and muscle whilst on it). I do get very cold extremities a lot of the time from the Bisoprolol which can make me clumsy. I'm guessing this is down to reduced blood circulation in fingers and toes linked to Bisoprolol so I'm guessing that your beta blockers could be responsible for your fingers feeling weaker. Like you I appear stuck on beta blockers unless my 2nd ablation turns out to have worked (seems unlikely at the moment as I'm experiencing a number of new arrhythmias and heart rate variations 5months down the line!). Fingers crossed we both get off the beta blockers!!
