Had an ablation 2 weeks ago. All was fine with BP about 115/75 and HR of 64. Yesterday, monitor began showing irregular beat with diastolic rate around 100 and HR about 100 as well. Every hour reading is way different, sometimes without irregular beat and normal reading. Anyone else have this after ablasion?

Post Ablation Issues
All perfectly normal. Please read our Recovering From Ablation fact sheet. on AF Association website.
Thanks. Am a bit concerned because I have an enlarged aorta as well, so don't want to cause anymore damage than it already has.
How long did your AF episode last? I’m 7 weeks post ablation. My AF was Vagal and never got tachycardia from it. Always lasted 36 hours give or take a few. Frequency had reached every 4-6 days. Normally 6-7 AF episodes per month. After November 29th ablation I had 3 episodes in December. Always converting to NSR spontaneously in 18-24 hours. So far in January only one episode on the 9th. None since. Had lots of ectopics (PVC’s) as my EP referenced them as. Even those have stopped for now.
Not sure but this latest mess started three days ago. Before that no issues BP 115-80/HR 64. Now, monitor shows sometimes in rhythm, sometimes not, but heart rate always 100-110.
My heart rate generally is 90-110 when in AF. Buy a $10 O2 finger monitor and you can see the difference between AF and NSR just looking at the beat waves.

Thank you very much.
Sounds like some aflutter which can happen After ablation. But having said that, your only in the beginning of healing and flutters and bouts of afib can come and go for months. If it sustains that speed you might need a cardioversion, but usually it will just kick out on its own after a few days. I've had 4 ablations in the last 3 years with the last one doing good after 7 months, but on all of them(especially my 3rd which was cryo) I had exactly what you are saying. Very common and doesn't mean it failed, so don't get discouraged! Stay on blood thinner and tell your ep what's going on. You'll make it!
Thank you for the response. Certainly makes me feel a little better. Regular Cardio wants me to come in tomorrow for another Holter. Seems to me an EKG would make more sense if anything. My EP and Cardio docs both work in same building but not sure they know what the other hand is doing.
They are supposed to know what the other is doing! But, I've had the same issue with ep and cardiologist before. I think a holter is a good idea for you especially if you are not in a funky rhythm constantly. Question-Are you going in just to just get the holter on or an actual appt.? Because if you're in active flutter/afib or other issue an ekg would catch it, either way you and they need to know. I forgot to tell you that after my last ablation I had aflutter after the first week. My ep gave me a low dose of sotalol 2x daily and it stopped it in a day! I also had so many holter monitors that my ep(my REAL cardiologist) suggested and put in a 24 hour medtronics implant. Reads me for three years straight and I can send info any time I have problems! But you're not there yet, I just thought I'de mention it. Anyway, many of us have pain and/or rhythm issue for quite a while after ablation, so stay strong. Keep us informed, talk soon.
Appointment is just for the holter. I have an appt next Friday with my EP so will probably wait until then. Today, heart rate about 105 and monitor reads irregular HB consistently. I take flecainide 100mg twice a day, but doesn't seem to be helping right now.
