Common problem. We are all different so no telling how long I'm afraid. You will know it takes three to six months for full recovery and lots of things will happen in that time.

Thank you bob I went the doctor's and was told to stop taking the lansoprazole noticed a small difference but nothing major it's really strange not feeling hungry I'm still eating and not getting stomach pains just bloated tried windsetlers but they having done anything.

Give it time. Glad your doctor told you to stop lansoprazole. It often causes bloating and actually makes reflux worse after a while and really should only be used short term in my view as per all PPIs

It's now 2 months since my ablation. I was bloated initially but I can't remember when it subsided, unfortunately. It must have gone quickly but, as BobD says, there is no telling how long it will take for you - everyone is affected differently.

I, too, stopped taking lansoprazole very quickly. I didn't feel that I needed it at all actually as my stomach didn't feel upset other than the slight bloating. I've recently had acid reflex in bed during the night, though. I've woken up with it a few times and had to raise my pillow a little. My appetite is still 'off' a little but I put it down to the cocktail of meds that I am still on.

I’m 10 days out and feeling similar- I still need to lose some weight so taking advantage of it 😊. Best wishes during your recovery.

You could try taking probiotics, bought from a Health Food shop (tablets are more powerful than just eating bio yoghurt)
