Been a several weeks since my first ablation pretty much afib free, my ep said I’m doing well and wants me to start reducing my medications. He now has me taking 50mg of flecadine 2 times a day I was taking 150 mg 2times a day.
About 5 days later it appears my afib is starting to come back.... is this normal? Has anyone had this problem coming off flecadine or will I be looking towards another ablation?

Yes it happened to me many years ago.
I have had a number of ablations and still take 100x2 Flecainide each day.
For some a successful ablation can mean Flecainide is no longer necessary, unfortunately for others it is the contrary.
We are all different.
I suggest that you speak to your EP as soon as you can for guidance.

It’s realy hard to say as everyone reacts differently and you must be guided by your EP. It could be you need to decrease a little more slowly? 150-50 Mg is quite a sudden drop. Your body is used to the drug and may be protesting so you need to adjust more slowly to continue to stay AF free or you may need another ablation, it’s early to tell.
Its one of the reasons my cardio does not at this stage recommend an Ablation as i take 2*50mg per day and he is of the belief that I would probably still have to carry on with it - that clearly only holds true as long as Flecanaide works then it would be a different ball game
