Well today (or should I say yesterday as it’s now after midnight) I headed into the cath lab today for the 4th time. Hopefully it’s 4th time lucky. My first two ablations were for SVT (which were unsuccessful). And today was “take 2” of the ablation they were supposed to do six weeks ago for AFib and AFlutter which of course was over before it began thanks to a blood clot.
My EP popped in and said everything went well and he was very happy (I’ve been giving him headaches & challenges for nearly 2 years 😀). He’ll come back tomorrow for a proper chat.
I’m now recovering in the CCU. I’m on Heparin drip overnight. Resting HR is currently sitting at 75. I had a few palpitations earlier and had a little tachy run up to 115. Looking forward to many years in NSR after my heart has healed.
I’ve just signed up for Netflix it’s nice to have a good excuse to lie on the couch and watch lots of movies and tv shows.

Hope you continue to make a speedy recovery Kaz Rest up and enjoy Netflix There are some good series in there Hemlock grove being one if modern day vampires are your thing
Vonnie - you astound me - I can’t bear to watch anything like that - far too scary! 😂😂. Funny how we are all so different. I can cope with hour after hour of AF without a thought but can’t watch a horror fiction......
I'm the same CDreamer, can't watch any violence or anything upsetting that may make me weepy as I know it will disturb my sleep. Just don't understand how people enjoy watching miserable programmes. If I watch anything scary, then I'm afraid to leave my lounge!
CDreamer, nor do I. I watched a utube video of a young woman in Sweden who moved up north where she sees Northern Lights. She has a cat, dog, and cow. She paints, plants and writes. Watched it twice as it made me feel wonderful. Horror and violence disturbs my peace. I watch the news and will watch a good movie that contains violence. Except bugs...I can be brutal with them.
Pleased to hear all went well Kaz and I wish you a speedy and full recovery. I'd say no watching anything scary, as it won't do your heart any good at all.
Thanks Pete - I’ll avoid the scary movies 😀 My EP said my Left Atrial Appendage was looking much better than it did six weeks ago. It was a bit of a reunion in the cath lab with many of the staff that had worked on me before.
Speedy recovery Kaz757. I had my ablation on Wednesday, didn’t have a very good night, felt as if my heart was coming out of my chest. Enjoy your films
Thanks Redders. Looking forward to getting some sleep when I get home, minus all the leads, drips and blood pressure cup (I’ve got a great big bruise from that). I hope you have a great recovery too x
Hi Kaz. I've been out of it for a few days due a family crisis but just wanted to say how glad I am that everything went ahead and that I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good recovery.
I recommend 'The Gilmore Girls' on Netflix - it's fun and easy to watch ... ashamed to say I really got into it! 🍇💐
