Just after some advice really. I had my 4th ablation on the 16th Feb and I feel awful. After my other ablations, I could experience good days and bad days during the blanking period but my heart rate is either through the roof or really low and it feels like non- stop AF.
It’s mostly high and I’m having to increase my Bisoprosal most days. Anybody experience this but then have a successful ablation outcome?
Thanks, Bee

I think you need to get a message to your EP about how you are feeling. Please ring the hospital where you had your ablation and ask to speak to your EP's secretary.
After my third ablation (which was my most successful) I went back after a few weeks for a cardioversion. I've not had a really high heart rate since. Please don't just put up with how you're feeling.
Thank you for replying Jean - I’m going to send a download of my ICD across first thing in the morning and then call then nurses which usually prompts my cardio doc to call me 🤞❤️🩹
I've only had 1 ablation and the first two weeks were awful as heart rate was up and down. I spent more time in the local hospital than at home in those two weeks. However, it has settled down and, although 200mg of Sotalol per day plus Apixaban, it does seem to have been better with only a few episodes of bigeminal/trigeminal and ectopics which can often be pinned down to eating the wrong things so hang on in there. I was on Bisoprolol but it didn't seem to help hence the switch to Sotalol in various increasing doses until 280mg per day at the end. My only gripe is my heart doesn't go above 100 bpm and I get breathless running up the stairs or walking up a small hill but I suspect that's down to the Sotalol. I'm hoping I can speak to (never heard back from the EP since the op in May 2022) my cardiologist again to keep reducing the Sotalol - fingers crossed! Hope you improve soon.
I was like that after my second ablation for a bout a month and then I suddenly returned to a normal sinus rhythm. My Electrophysiologist kept a very close watch, though. I had a good six years staying in rhythm on Flecinide which hadn't work before. It seems outcomes vary widely and there is no way to predict. Rest and try to stay positive. I hope it settles down soon.
