Blood pressure
We aren't medically trained here to best discuss with your pharmacist or GP. As far as I know neither of mine do .
I wish 😀.......
Agreed, we are not doctors. But, most doctors do not have time to study the various sources of information. It falls to us patients to do that. Of course, we usually do not have the expertise to understand and evaluate everything we read. We can though begin to get some answers and show the doctors what we have found.
Your question is googlable. For instance:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/963...
All drugs except prazosin reduced heart rate from baseline;
texasheart.org/heart-health...
BP meds that should not affect HEART RATE INCLUDE: Amlodipine(although it is a calcium blocker), Hydralazine (direct arterial vasodilator), ACE Inhibitors, ARB’s and other medicines that we do not use often at the present time.
I am considered a high risk patient, therefore doctors try to push me to use a blood pressure tablet. I have refused. The evidence I have seen points to drugs for mild hypertension being not needed, and could be harmful. Of course, severe hypertension is another ballgame.
