This is a long shot, but although I have been on a number of pills for a few years, ie levothyroxine, bisoprolol, furosemide, pravastatin and losartan, also flecainide but that has been stopped after my ablation. I was started on Rivaroxaban before an ablation, last December and after two or three months I noticed that veins in my hands and legs have become quite prominent. Not varicose veins.
Has anyone else found this to be so?? I am 74 so maybe it's age, but it just seems a coincidence with the blood thinners that it has happened so quickly.
Also I have noticed a massive hair loss , but my GP did a blood test and found I was very low in zinc. I have seen a few people saying about hair loss, but nothing about the veins
Thank you everyone

Anticoagaulants are not blood thinners. The blood stays the same viscosity and of course all that happens is it takes longer to clot. This horrible miss description causes lots of misconceptions. Blood pressure meds can dilate the veins this being one of the ways they work and of course age makes them stand out more as well.
Hello Tap... I’ve not come across this ... in fact, my veins are so ‘hidden’ that they are a bit like digging for gold! I’m sure you’ll get some helpful responses as this forum “rocks”... 🌻
