Fantastic! You're on the mend and positive reinforcement awaits you.

Great news with positive reinforcement. I was not ill when I retired but grieving multiple sibling loss. In retrospect, caring about my patients and colleagues but retiring due to grief just added to the loss. I was offered a leave of absence, part time but refused and retired. In retrospect, it added to the multiple losses. So tempting to quit and isolate.....don't do it without trying all else first.

I think if it as a break from family problems my daughter has schysophrenia and my other two have personal problems Some days I just have their worries all day from dusk to dawn on top work

Too much stress for the strongest people. Glad you are returning to work. There are support groups for their issues and your additional support is a reinforcement. You do need your own life and diversity. It will help your children also...to avoid becoming too dependent on you.

So true. Losing confidence is a foreign and scary state for us confident women. You sound far too successful for that state of mind. Acknowledge it's a doubtful passing thought, then you go girl...

Vonnieruth profile image
Vonnieruth in reply to hock217

Got to try I know but it's when I get faint palpitations in a morning Not sure it's my anxiety or AF

hock217 in reply to Vonnieruth

I know. Sudden doubt attacks when Our bodies misbehave. Take a slow deep breath as anxiety can feel like a cardiac issue. Best antidote for anxiety is slow, deep breathing until it passes. Do not permit a phobia to take over. Phobias are bullies feeding on fear. We have your back and are sending positive thoughts your way. Keep us posted on your success.

Thank you Hock I will let you know how it goes

Are you happy with the outcome? I have to say that sounds reasonable to both you and the employer!

I'm happy yes Once I'm back full time if staff starting asking me to leave my paper work etc to help them I have to let management know and they nip it in the bud

Hi Vonnie :-) that sounds like a satisfactory outcome that you are happy with.

It's good too that you went out alone and you should soon get your confidence back.

Glad the meeting went well. Take things one day at a time. Often the thought of things is worse than the reality. Xx

How wonderful and an inspiration to the rest of us. There are some good employers out there and obviously some well thought of employees! Take it steady and don't go doing too much too quickly!

Hope it is going well at work. If the hours are manageable, it is a break from other issues mentioned. Is your daughter in a day program, stabilized on meds etc? Give yourself "me time" a few times a year....even two days receiving a massage etc helps. Big Hug n positive thoughts Vonnie.
