Been on it since my cheapskate CCG switched me from Candesartan about twelve years ago. No side effects I am aware of. aware of. aware of. lol

Been taking it for several years now. No problem or side effects- I came off Ramipril because of the dry cough effect that had.

I’ve been taking Losartan for thee years and I’ve been fine with it; it successfully lowered my blood

pressure. I am not aware of any side effects. Like many people I was initially put on Ramipril (which is cheaper than Losartan) and developed a really bad cough.

I've been on Losartan for a couple of years now with no problems at all, it seems to do the job well. Hope it works well for you too.

Yes been on it for quite some years, switched from Ramipril after it wasn’t doing the trick. Am on quite a high dose as I have very obstinate blood pressure, 100mg a day, no side effects that I can pinpoint.

WOW!! All good news. I had to come off Ramipril because of the cough. Thank you all so much for your input - really puts my mind at rest.

Been on it, although low doses, for years. No noticeable side effects. I asked my Cardiologist recently about whether there were newer, better drugs. He said while newer drugs are available, Losartan has been around so long that more research has been done on that drug than anything similar. And, there have been very few side effects and it has been shown in studies to work well. So, he is keeping me on it rather than go to newer drug.

I was a bit nervous about coming off Ramipril so your comments have really helped - what a useful site this is.

Still taking Losarten,no side effects, but not good enough control of BP ,added Felodipine just before Christmas that has taken BP down but some issues of to low BP and that has caused quite bad dizzy spells, so still a work in progress, but sure I'll get it right soon.
