That sounds like good results then Vonnie. Did you check as soon as you arrived home or had you sat for 10 minutes.

How did you feel?

It should be even lower then if you sit for 10 minutes and then take it again. Sounds like you may be back in sinus rhythm.

Hope so I'm sure the lady had either onset of dementia or was dehydrated even so earlier She told me she remembered to need a drink but then forgets to get one

Well you've done your good deed for the day, well done! It makes you feel good doesn't it?

I helped an elderly couple the other day. Her husband was so frail he had to hold on to her to walk and she was trying to push a trolley and hold a bag, then had him holding one arm. I couldn't bear to watch them struggle and ended up pushing the trolley and holding the bag to get them to the spot where a taxi would pick them up. One day that could be us needing help! Karma paid me back that afternoon though.

So what is the problem? Stop taking your BP and pulse and get on with your life. Your heart speeds up with exercise and according to other demands quite naturally. It is very clever like that.

Thanks Bennie Wish I felt like one

As Bob says stop taking your BP so much and enjoy life Vonnie, I've been walking every other day, cycling on the days between , odd check shows 130-35 and 60-75, exercising and the relaxation it Brings, for me it really helps, and state of mind is a big thing I find to keep my BP down . I was taking mine too much and have stopped now just the odd time when sat for 15 mins every couple of days, but you can become fixated and put it up then getting worked up raises it more . Up to 2.5km walks and 8km bike rides now (electric hybrid assist when tired). Loads of endorphins, lower BP, win win.

At moment I am checking due to change of medication plus I'm due at hospital soon for first clinic appointment My BP shoots up when I go even to my own gp So was advised to record my own to show them

in reply toVonnieruth

Mine the same Vonnie, any doc visit etc it raises, white coat syndrome unfortunately , but I know it's good from checks at home, and the 45-60 mins a day exercise is helping loads. Since I started this exercise and health change I've felt loads less stressed, and much better in myself.

Just been for my second follow up appointment following my ablation last August and so far all going well. EP wants me to have a CT scan because I still find it bit hard to get my breath when walking fast, especially uphill, so have to go back for that next month. Other than that all okay 👌🏼
