I have been using Symbicort for about 10 years now. Two puffs twice a day . The heavy breathing started about six months ago. I had veins in my legs work done. That was a very bad decision. They're worse than they ever were, I think that's one of the problems I have. I cannot get around anymore. Little movement. My wife and I go out shopping for food, on our return, I am exhausted.

Thank you for your quick reply, I've already increased my Symbicort 2 plus price today. But as you pointed out among breathing medications, I have been taking Spiriva once a day. Fortunately, I'm going to see my pulmonologist you see afternoon I'm going to run it by her, also, my cardiologist. Anything to get along with helping my breathing.
It's really restricting my lifestyle. What's left of it.
Symbicort is a long acting inhaler meant to be taken twice a day for COPD. Albuterol or salbutamol is a generic for several short acting inhalers (lasts about 4 hrs) that could be taken before your walks in addition if you experience difficulties breathing while walking. Other causes of SOB such as heart failure should be ruled out. Consult your physician. Best, etheral
I have Asthma overlapping Chronic Bronchitis (ACOS), When I was diagnosed with Afib, the Cardiologist removed all the lung medication I was on save for Symbicort as he said they were bad for the heart. It would appear that you can take extra doses of Symbicort if required (my doctor's advice), but Quaycong should discuss it with his Doctor , as opinions on everything always differ,!
