My ep wants to know if I've been in a fib for more than three days so as to take some sort of action. The concept being the shorter time in a fib, the better.
I am from the US so your system may work differently, but the concept should be the same. So if you have access to your doctors, I definitely would contact them prior to the weekend.
You may be told that since your rate is controlled, this is not an emergency, which is correct, but again, all things equal, the shorter time you're in a fib, the better.
Thanks Jim sound advice whilst my pulse rate not as high as it has been in Other episodes concerned it will remain. As I am feeling really tired it might be due in part to extra flexanide . Will try both. GP. And. EP although the later more difficult to get hold of !
When I had a break through taking the same dose of Flec and Bis that you are taking I asked my Dr to increase it to 75mg 2 x day. He initially wanted to do 100mg 2x day because he was unaware of a 150mg pill you could split. (Doing your homework helps)
That has worked for 5 years. Plus still room for higher doses as the daily max is 300mg. I view PAF like sea sickness. Easy to prevent harder to stop. If you go up in dosage you need to do the math for a PIP so it doesn't exceed that 300mg/24hr max.
As PAF is progressive I personally prefer to be on the slightly higher dose with no incidences vs getting AFib and taking a PIP.
Thank you for your advice been trying l 100 mg x2 a day past couple of days still in AF heve messaged my EP team With my Kardia readings hope g gets reply !! Might try bisoprolo this morning g rather then wait till tonight I am usually sensitive to it pulse usually 48 bpm on it ! Have a good weekend
