There’s different types of SVT and things that might feel like SVT , I would go get checked out 👍🏼

Realistically that is not a particularly fast rate. Normal can be up to 100. Don't jump to conclusions but do speak to your doctor if you are worried. A Holter monitor may allow diagnosis of what is happening.

Whats SVT

Supra ventricular tachycardia., This is a fast heart rate where the signals are coming form above the ventricle. By the way I note that you often reply to me where your question is to a n other. If you reply where the point started rather than to the last poster then this will appear as a new link rather than continuation of my post. So in this case either to Sam or the original post. Just makes it easier to follow.

You ask a good question. The fact is that "tachycardia" has more than one form, and the classifications I have seen are not exactly clear. The rate is only one of the elements. Some doctors do not even consider it unless the rate is above 120. But there are forms that are less than this. You seem to have one of them.

My limited observations of oldish people is that in anticipation of the morning, the heart rate and blood pressure shoot up just before waking. An hour or so later, after breakfast and after facing the anxiety of emails/other urgencies, and having moved enough to not feel sluggish, then the heart rate goes back to normal.

If that is your case, then your personal knowledge will increase your confidence, and will help you to cope. For instance, getting up more slowly, pausing at the seated stage before standing etc.

Thank you that makes a lot of sense I didn't know "tachycardia" has more than one form. I will try and slow things down in the mornings as I really think that could help.

I have Svt and A/fib, how it was explained to me by my doctor, there both fast heart rates but svt doesn’t go out of rhythm but A/fib does. I take a calcium channel blocker for my svt.

My SVT did. Had an extra node and sometimes ended up in a loop for 120 - 160 extra beats. Sometimes I felt fine. Other times faint and sweaty. Only the ten lead monitor for a month revealed the problem which EP ablated.
