Morning - flushing? If you mean peeing all the time it is the Heart trying to get rid of Salts so your body puts your kidneys into overdrive - make sure you drink lots and lots of water to avoid dehydration.

Ahhh..... yes I often get that as well - for me it is an indication of Autonomic Dysfunction as I don’t always get it but could be something else..........

It’s the part of the Nervous System which regulates all of the unconscious processes of the body - part of which is the fight or flight response which causes symptoms of anxiety - it’s acts as an alarm system to let you know something is wrong. It can cause high heart rate, low blood pressure, digestive issues, inability to regulate body temperature and regulates our immune response - to mention just a few. When it goes a bit wonky it can cause a lot of various problems.

You may read the term ‘vagal AF’ - the vagal nerve is part of the ANS - and people who find that they can’t sleep on their left side or when they exercise go into AF or can’t eat certain drinks or foods or have digestive problems often discover that their AF is triggered by the vagal nerve.

A brief overview.

Hi Vonnie :-) I have written about 'hot flushes' here....

''I also had awful pressure headaches and hot flushes every day for 3 weeks which started a month after I began taking the medication , I can't be sure what caused this it could also have been the anticoagulants but the symptoms have stopped now''

I wonder if it was my body adjusting to the medication , maybe it could be the same with you .

Thanks doodle it's the palpitations and the hot flushes together first thing that gets to me Comes on about ten minutes of being up

Other type of flushing maybe hormones or some medications.

I looked that up yesterday, a bit too old for menopausal flushes I thought, but it seems it could be, however it could also be caused by circulatory problems, possibly.

I also get hot flushes with palpitations most nights, not so much in the day. It's been going on for ages and I've never been able to work it out but it could be a side effect of flecainide as this can cause flushes and I don't take anything else. It usually happens just as I'm waking up or sometimes as I'm dozing off. Most annoying as I nearly always have to get out of bed with it.
